The Environmental Protection Administration has planned sustainable development for the next ten years and promoted that plan with the “Green Life for All People” celebration for all residents. The “Green Life Fun Party” was held at Chung Hsing Cultural and Creative Park, Yilan County at 3 pm on September 25th, 2021. Composed of “green tourism,” “green eating,” “green consumption,” “green home,” and “green office,” this event taught the public about how to implement green living in the small details of their daily lives, from food, clothing, housing, and transportation to education, entertainment, and shopping.

With the theme of green living, the “Green Life Fun Party” was suitable for the whole family to join in. On that day, the play “Green Dining Power” was performed by Apple Theater, while Bro Rabbi, a professional storyteller, also read the picture books “Crocodile Who Loves Vegetables” and “De Gekke Winkel” on the spot, raising audience awareness about food waste and people’s unlimited desires being the cause of food waste, ecological disasters, and environmental pollution. is the EPA hopes to change people’s minds through education to reduce excessive or unnecessary consumption and thus lessen the sources of pollution. Doing so can actually solve the current environmental problems that we face.

In the on-site booth area, people were able to learn how to create a “green home” and “green office” in their living space. Moreover, they learned more about how to purchase green products, as well as how to recycle and reuse resources. “Green consumption” tips were offered as a means to help people understand energy-saving and carbon-reduction efforts, as well as money-saving ones. For “green eating,” restaurants and consumers are called upon to take part in “food saving activities.” “Green tourism” was included to encourage people to eat local food, live with peace, and have fun, making everyone a professional green tourist with energy-saving and carbon-reduction knowledge. At the same time, an “eating local food DIY” activity was held, where visitors were invited to get in touch with nature and experience a positive environment.
