To encourage merchandise retailers, hypermarkets, supermarkets, franchised stores, and convenience stores transform themselves into green stores to sell the environmental preferable products with certified eco-label; also to make public easily recognize and purchase these products and make deep impression on green consumption, the EPA held “Green Selling Award” to choose green stores with excellent performance and made instruction manual and CDs to educate public and other businesses of green consumption concept.
There were 17 businesses participated in the “Green Selling Award”.  There were 8 businesses elected as excellent performers according to their green selling policies, store environment managements, product advertisements and the overall performances. Documentary review and onsite inspection were conducted to decide the ranking. The 2007 first prize was given to Interchange Industrial Co., Ltd., second prize was given to B & Q and Taiwan Test Rite Tainan and Shihlin Branch Stores and Far Eastern Geant Taoyuan Branch Store altoghter, the third prize was given to the following candidates: Taiwan Sugar Cooperation Pingtung Branch Stores, Far Eastern Geant Taoyuan Yongmay Branch Store, Far Eastern Geant Taichung Fusheng Branch Store and RT-Mart International Ltd. Hsintain Beitan Branch Store. On November 13, 2007, the award ceremony was held in Taipei Hero Family, Dr. Dang the EPA minister presented the award to the award winner respectively in terms of their rankings.
