To make the domestic businesses understand and learn better of green product selling from foreign countries, the EPA held “2007 International Conference on Green Products’ Commercial Opportunities” in Socrates Room of GIS Convention Center of National Taiwan University on November 13 and 14, 2007. The guests presented were Mr. John Polak, chairman of Global Ecolabelling Network, Mr. Hiromi Mori, the Secretary General of International Green Procurement Network, and delegates from international green procurement leagues of Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Bureau of Purchases in City of Portland, USA and Swedish Environmental Management Council. Our delegates from governmental agencies, school, business procurement staffs, and environmental protection group were also attended. There were totally 120 delegates presented at the conference.
The agenda of this conference is aiming at the study of green procurement, green selling, and green products’ commercial opportunities. 4 international speakers and 4 delegates and 7 domestic speakers were presented to lead topic discussion. The agenda was separated into 5 categories: keynote speech, government’s green procurement measure and trend, encouragement of public’s participation on green procurement, green selling experience sharing, and green products’ marketability and commercial opportunity.
