- This standard applies to plastic pipe/tube and fitting products (“product”) used in drinking water, waste water, natural gas, industrial, chemical industry and general use applications, as well as for pipe rafts and electrical cable conduit purpose.
- The product shall not contain chlorine (see Note 1).
- The product shall not contain phthalates (esters of 1, 2-benezenedicarboxylic acid) (see Note 2).
- The product shall not contain the compounds of cadmium, lead, mercury or tin (see Note 3).
- Adhesive shall not be used during the product connection process.
- The name and address of the Green Mark user must be clearly printed on the product or on the packaging material.
- The product or its packaging shall bear a label reading 'Low Pollution'.
Notes:
- The determination of chlorine content shall be based on international, national or specific industry standards, such as the NIEA R404, and the detection limit shall be no greater than 5 ppm or the permitted content specified in this standard.
- The determination of esters of 1, 2-benezenedicarboxylic acid shall be based on international, national or specific industry standards, such as the NIEA M731, and the detection limit shall be no greater than 5 ppm or the permitted content specified in this standard.
- The determination of cadmium, lead, mercury and tin compounds shall be based on international, national or specific industry standards, such as the NIEA R353 (US EPA 3050B) / US EPA 3051A or NIEA M317 (US EPA 7471B) / NIEA M318(US EPA 7473), and the detection limits shall be no greater than 2 ppm or the permitted content specified in this standard.
