- The products shall not contain cadmium, mercury or other major hazardous substances.
- The product shall satisfy the general requirements of its function.
- The name and address of the Green Mark user must be clearly printed on the product or on the packaging material. For non-manufacturing Logo users, the manufacturer's name and address shall also be shown.
- The product or their packaging material shall bear a label reading "Mercury and Cadmium-free Batteries".
