Consumer Products from Degradable Plastics (Closed)




  1. Consumer products include all the consumer products of which the plastic parts are replaced by degradable plastics (Note: product categories have to be individually recognized by the Green Mark Program Review Committee).
  2. The biodegradability of the product shall be equal to or higher than 50% when tested against ISO 14851, ISO 14852 or ISO 14855 standards.
  3. Products shall not contain toxic substances promulgated by the ROC-EPA.
  4. Products are considered to be the same if they differ only in size or volume.
  5. The name and address of the "Green Mark" user must be clearly printed on the product or on the package. For non-manufacturing Logo users, the manufacturer's name and address shall also be shown.
  6. Product or package shall also bear a label reading "Made of Degradable Plastics".

Notes:

  • This criterion was revised on December 25, 2002
  • Sampling of these products shall be carried out by the Implementation Body and the applicant together at one of the sale points of these products. Samples shall then be sent to an accredited test laboratory for testing and analysis.
